Why
Hire Outside Services
There
are at least three good reasons for going outside
your own organization for computer support:
To gain objectivity. The outside consultant or contract
specialist brings a fresh and unbiased view to your
situation and needs, something those who are “close”
to the problem have difficulty in achieving.
To
avoid undue staff pressures. Requiring your own staff
to mount extra effort when they already bear a full
workload is not in the best interests of your management.
Workers do not produce their best work under such
pressure. The outside consultant is able to concentrate
full attention on the problem and bring technical
expertise and experience otherwise not generally found
within the office staff.
To
bring special skills to bear. Network computing, especially
in the modern sense with all the high-tech developments
of recent years, is highly specialized. Especially
when it comes to troubleshooting you network. It’s
a job for a specialist who has no conflicting duties.
